artist statement:

Trained in film and photography, Bill Jackson’s artistic output has always been concerned with observation, many pieces documentary in style. He works with both transmitted and reflected light. The very core of photographic imagery is that it cannot exist without light. Light has always been the form and his choice of medium has been the aesthetic. His ideas revolve around real and virtual spaces of which we occupy either by our presence or imagination. Comfortable with both, he explores ideas about spatial observations relating it to how we see ourselves in a modern world of technology.
